[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he event of the CIK-FIA European Champ in Le Mans nearly at its final phase.
Another eventful day today in Le Mans, where the fourth round of the CIK-FIA European Championship is taking place. The weather made the qualifying heats unpredictable: today’s light showers were a hard test for the drivers but, however, the heats were mainly run on dry track. This was the weather condition during the first qualifying heats, heats which are due to end tomorrow morning. The last heats – two for each category – will be the first events of the live streaming on cikfia.tv and cikfiachampionship.com. The streaming will finish at the end of the last Final. The broadcast from Le Mans will begin tomorrow at 9:50am, while during the following week the channel Motorsport.tv will air the usual recap of the whole weekend.

Viganò difends his leadership in KZ2.
Lots of frontrunners in KZ2 and all aiming at Matteo Viganò’s (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) leadership. The Italian driver (in the photo below) reacted winning one of today’s 8 heats. Another Italian, Alessandro Pelizzari (CKR-TM-Bridgestone), confirmed to be in good shape and won a heat after grabbing the pole yesterday. There are great expectations for a Final which is going to be tough, given that all the heats were won by different drivers. The other winners, in fact, are the Italian Francesco Celenta (Praga-TM), the Dutch Max Tubben (CRG-TM) and Martijn van Leeuwen (Energy-TM), the French Pierre Loubere (Zanardi-Parilla), the Italian Paolo Ippolito (LenzoKart-LKE) and the Lithuanian Rokas Baciuska (Sodi-TM).

Thompson in trouble in OK Junior.
Tough day for the OKJ leader, the English Harry Thompson (FA Kart-Vortex-Vega), who placed second in one of the heats but who remained rather behind in the other races. His rivals took advantage of his troubled performance: the Australian Jack Doohan and the British Zak O'Sullivan (both on FA-Vortex), the Italian Andrea Rosso, the French Gillian Henrion and the Russian Ilya Morozov (all on Tony Kart-Vortex), the German O'neill Muth and the French Hadrien David (both on Zanardi-Parilla) and the Dutch Kas Haverkort (CRG-Parilla). They all won a heat each and they are all aiming at success in the Final.

Three drivers attack the leader Vidales in OK.
David Vidales (Tony Kart-Vortex-LeCont), leader of the OK championship, was behind today too, while there are three drivers who seemed to be ready to attack the Spaniard: the Norwegian Dennis Hauger (CRG-Parilla), the Polish Karol Basz and the French Théo Pourchaire (both on Kosmic-Vortex). They won two heats each, while the English Callum Bradshaw (CRG-Parilla) and the Italian Lorenzo Travisanutto (Zanardi-Parilla, in the photo above behind Basz) won a heat each. The OK Final, too, is going to be unpredictable.

Handsaeme leads in the Academy.
In the CIK-FIA Karting Academy Trophy, it was the Belgian Xavier Handsaeme, third in the championship standings, who managed to win two of the four heats which took place today. The other two races were won by the French Sami Meguetounif and the Dutch Tijmen van der Helm, second in the standings behind his fellow countryman Mike van Vugt – today his best result was a sixth place (all the drivers on Exprit-Vortex-Bridgestone).
