A flashback to the ‘90s, the 100 Amatoriale class means business on 21 May.

[dropcap]J[/dropcap]ust a few months ago, we announced a return to the track of 100 cc engined karts for a test session, featuring a few legends of the golden era of non-shifter karts at the wheel.
In fact, it was only a test session or, as is often the case, a non-competitive event involving historic karts, as happened last year at Lonato during the 27th Trofeo di Primavera.
However, starting this year, the new CSAI 2017regulations have introduced the new "100 Amatoriale" class which was so passionately desired by all 20.000 rpm enthusiasts.

This breakthrough has allowed the organisation of a recognised and regulated race, with the competition being held in conjunction with the Trofeo South Garda Karting at the circuit in Lonato on 21 May.
The 100 Amatoriale class will be divided into subclasses called "PRE 95" and "PRE 2000" and out on the track there will be reed and rotary valve direct drive air-cooled engines.

For more information, please follow the Facebook KFA Fan Page or visit the South Garda Karting website for the complete rules.
The appointment out on the track in late May will feature karts that, in their simplicity, represent the essence of the sport.
