22 March 2019

The start to the eighth season for the Superkarts! USA Texas ProKart Challenge is just over one week away. Competitors will be converging on the historic North Texas Karters facility in Denton, Texas for the March 29-31 weekend to contest Rounds One and Two of the championship season. The premier Lone Star State regional program is set to offer 12 categories for the six-round title chase, making three stops over the seven-month span.

Pre-registration for Round One and Two of the SKUSA Texas ProKart Challenge remains open until Monday, March 25 at midnight CDT. Save time in line and money in your pocket by heading over to MotorsportsReg.com to avoid those late fees and secure your spot in the opening weekend of the SKUSA Texas ProKart Challenge.

Many hours of work have been put into the program, and the final pieces of the prize package for 2019 are coming together. One highlight is the SuperNationals prize package for the 2019 champions. The Texas PKC will offer four entry tickets to the 2019 SKUSA SuperNationals, valued at $1,100 each including entry and tires, to four unique groups of champions; Cadet, IAME, Shifter, and KA.  The series will draw one drivers name from each group to determine the recipient of the SuperNationals prize package.

Champions in the Pro Shifter, X30 Senior, X30 Junior, X30 Master, Mini Swift, KA100 Senior and KA100 Junior classes all receive guaranteed SuperSunday starting positions at the SKUSA SuperNationals 23.  All racers who compete in the full SKUSA Texas ProKart Challenge are also qualified to be included in the Priority Pre-Entry Program for the SuperNats 23, providing our racers with the first opportunity to register before the event goes public and the limited spots run out. Briggs & Stratton champions are not to be left out, as both title winners will receive a Briggs generator, valued at $1,000. All class champions will receive a new set of Evinco Tires, with more prizes to be announced throughout the season.

The first circuit on the 2019 calendar is the North Texas Karters facility in Denton, Texas. The NTK organization has welcomed the Texas PKC program year after year, and remains one of the iconic grassroots kart clubs in the country. For a third straight year, karters from surrounding states and as far away as California will venture to the Amarillo Kart Circuit in West Texas to tackle the replica of the Formula One Turkish Grand Prix Istanbul Park circuit in mid-July. The 2019 finale takes competitors to the Speedsportz Racing Park in Houston in mid-September, where SKUSA Texas PKC champions will be decided.

For this coming weekend at North Texas Kartway, the SKUSA Texas ProKart Challenge is providing special awards to the KA100 and Briggs & Stratton categories. The championship leader after Round Two in KA100 Senior, KA100 Junior, 206 Senior, 206 Master and 206 Junior (provided the class has at least three entries) will receive a paid entry to the KA-LO Cup at Circuit of the Americas on June 14-16, presented by P1 Promotions.

The SKUSA Texas ProKart Challenge would like to thank the following companies for their support and commitment to the 2019 season; P1 Promotions, Nuclear Imaging Services, Alan Rudolph Racing Academy, Crosslink Competition, Rimrock Raceway, Stilo USA, Kart Racing Solutions, Visit Amarillo, Studio52 and eKartingNews.com.

eKartingNews.com will be trackside for all three Texas PKC events this year, with Rob Howden providing the race call on the PA system and streaming through the EKN Live page for those unable to attend.  Rob will also produce daily social media updates throughout the weekend and an event race report.
