PRESS RELEASE - TKART - The French brand got a brilliant top 5 in KZ1 in the first round of the CIK-FIA European Championship in Sarno (Italy).


Alpha Karting continuing to demonstrate his involvement and his big ambition to fight with the biggest brands on the international scene. The chassis of manufacturer Alpha Karting, went perfectly illustrated in this international event, demonstrating their outstanding performance both in KZ1 than KZ2.

The French brand, represented by the CPB Sport team has a sensation with Jérémy Iglesias, who has fought all weekend at the forefront in KZ1!

KZ1
Jeremy Iglesias, the official KZ1 Alpha driver, achieved a solid performance at the forefront throughout the event, demonstrating a regular performance.

After a good 7th in qualifying practice, Jeremy performs both excellent qualifying heats (3rd and 4th) winning several places, allowing him to qualify his Alpha Tiger Black in 5th position for the pre-final.
Strong and fast, the Alpha driver is announced as one of the pretenders to the podium of this European Championship.
Pre Final fantastic after starting of the third line, Jeremy makes a first class performance by finishing 4th in the wheels of the first three.

In the final, after a great start, Jeremy tip rapidly in 3rd position behind Italians drivers: Flavio Camponeschi and Marco Ardigo. Jeremy fights at the forefront among the world's best drivers of the class. He carries out fast laps in full fights and even achieves the fastest lap of the race, it keeps for a few laps of the final.

This result once again shows the velocity of the Alpha karts.
The Alpha driver and the Team CPB Sport signed a fantastic result: Best French manufacturer, 4th European manufacturer and the first French driver.

5th in the provisional standings, Jeremy is ahead of the favorites as Puhakka, Lennox-Lamb, Thonon, Fore, Lammers, De Conto or the actual European Champion Dreezen!

KZ2
Fantastic performance of Nicolas Gonzales that achieves the 2nd chrono of his group, the 14th place overall among the 60 drivers while the Italian driver Marco Zanchetta signs the 20th position.

Strong and regular work of Nicolas during the qualifying heats (6th, 5th, 4th, 5th and 3rd), where he increased in the rankings allowing him to jump in 4th line for the pre-final start.

Most difficult qualifications for Marco (12th, 10th, 6th, 16th and 4th) that still manages to qualify for the finals by qualifying 23th.

Pre-KZ2 final was closely fought in which Nicolas Gonzales manages to maintain its place in the top 10, while Marco Zanchetta finds his usual speed and won 7 positions.

Stroke of bad luck for Nicolas Gonzales, which is taken in a collision at the second corner.

Meanwhile, Marco Zanchetta is the author of an amazing start! He won a dozen positions and is quickly in the top 10. The performance is there, he made very good times, in the pace of the race leaders. Marco is also a victim of an incident while he was in full ascent, forcing him to retire.

In a hotly disputed final, Marco manages to pick up the 2nd fastest lap.

At the end this first round, all hopes are allowed. Nicolas Gonzales is provisionally in 15th place in the ranking which has 60.
