Marta Garcia in KZ2 at Triscina's round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship

Free practice opened the fourth round of the Italian Championship. The Spanish champion present in KZ2. Qualifying on Friday, heats on Saturday and Finals on Sunday.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he long weekend of the fourth round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship is underway at the International Circuit of Triscina. The entry list is shaping up in these hours with some novelties, like the presence of the strong Spanish driver Marta Garcia, at her debut in KZ2.
The girl from Valencia comes from the race in Sweden where she made a good debut in CIK-FIA KZ2 KZ2 International Super Cup and chose the Sicilian race to compete in the shifter category of the Italian Championship where she will be challenge by a lot of rivals that will battle out the Italian title. Marta Garcia will compete for team Intrepid in Triscina and will have Guatemala's 2015 and 2016 champion Brad Benavides as team mate. Marta Garcia has been CIK-FIA Academy Trophy champion in 2015 and came fourth at the European 2015 Championship (OKJ) and 2016 (OK), and she has been chosen to represent women in Karting for two years in a row by FIA Women Motorsport.
The fourth and penultimate round of the Italian Championship (race with coefficient 1.5) has started on Thursday afternoon in Triscina with free practice. On track, in KZ2 classification leader Francesco Celenta (Formula K-Tm) will be chased by Mirko Torsellini (Exprit-Tm). Also on track the protagonists of the other categories: 60 Mini, OK Junior, ACI Kart, ACI Kart Junior, Prodriver Under and Prodriver Over, with the two latter categories that will fight for the title in their third and final round.
On Sunday, from local 9.45 the two Finals-1 will be covered live on TV by AutoMotoTV (Sky 148), as Finals-2 from 14.25. As supporting races, Entry Level and 125 Club will also be part of the racing programme.
On Friday September 16th, free practice for all categories will start at 8:00, official practice will follow at 14:25 and qualifying at 16:20. 60 Mini's qualifying will take place on Saturday September 17th from 9:42, qualifying heats from 10:10 and second chance races at 18:20. Finals-1 will complete the programme on Sunday from 9:45 on, while Finals-2 will start at 14:25 with live coverage on AutoMotoTV.
