CIK FIA KZ2 SUPER CUP: POLE POSITION FOR PESCADOR
TKART Staff
09 October 2014

HOT NEWS - TKART - SARNO (ITALY) The International KZ2 Super Cup has wrapped up Friday Qualifyings. On a day that felt more like summer than fall, Jorge Carlo Pescador (Praga/Parilla) emerged as the fastest. The Spaniard stepped on track in the last group and probably benefitted from the warm track. Of all the names in contention for the title, his is certainly the most unexpected.

The Praga driver took pole position with a lap of 1:05.818.  Behind him in 2nd place there is expert driver Loris Spinelli (CRG/Maxter), who stopped the watch at 1:05.829 in group one, proving that for him it doesn’t matter if the track is hot or cold, clean or dirty. Lorenzo Camplese (Maranello/TM) is third, while Giacomo Pollini (CKR/TM) is fourth. Behind them there is the CRG/Maxter duo of Fabian Federer and Pedro Hiltbrand. What about the new KZ2 European Champion? Andrea Dalè (CRG/Maxter) scores a respectable 8th overall best time, slightly ahead of Jan Midrla (Birel/TM) who is just 0.186 behind.

Maik Siebecke (CRG/Modena Engines),  another name who had stood out in the Europeans, especially because few were paying attention to him,  confirms his worth once again: he sets the 13th fastest lap. Andrea Sebastian Hansen (Tony Kart/Vortex), instead, has a hard time and places 28th. Matteo Vigano (Top Kart/Parilla) is also below expectations: after a nice KF World Championship, the Italian seems to falter at his return on shifter karts and place 44th. The third to last driver is Sidney Gomez (Crg/Maxter), whose best lap is 1:08.316, but he’s justified in that he is a rookie. He raced in KF all season and this is his “first time”. They say it’s the one time you don’t forget, we hop for him this will be so, but in a good way.
