• Rafael Camara (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) wins the OK final of round 1 of the FIA European Championship in Genk. The Brazilian starts from 2nd position and, disadvantaged by the outside line, finishes fourth. But the pace is much better than that of the two direct opponents, in the very first moments: so, in not even 5 laps, Rafael takes the lead and does not leave it until the end.


• Behind him, on the finish line, ends Nikola Tsolov (DPK Racing - KR - IAME), with a livery of his KR commemorating the kart used by Fernando Alonso to win the "world championship" dedicated to the category in Genk, 25 years ago. Junior. The Bulgarian driver is the author of a fantastic race, in comeback (he finished in 10th positions after the start). However, he knows he has the nose in the wrong position, so he tries to gain as much advantage as possible on the opponents behind him. The 5 second penalty pushes him back to 5th position.
  In second place, therefore, goes Arvid Lindblad (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME). The Englishman, on the podium, is far from satisfied. After winning all the heats, he seemed to be the No. 1 contender for victory. On the other hand, in these track conditions with low grip he doesn't have the pace of his teammate, Camara.


• Third step of the podium, in his second race with the Exprit Racing Team, for Edoardo Villa (Exprit Racing Team - Exprit - Vortex). The Italian surprises everyone, perhaps even himself, for the speed he manages to express in the final in dry conditions.


• Who is perhaps more surprised than the others by the Italian's performance is Juho Valtanen (SP motorsport - Kart Republic - TM Racing), fourth at the finish. The Finn is also the leader of the race for a couple of laps at the beginning, but then he has to agree to Villa and there he finishes his race in fourth position.


• Sixth place for Joseph Turney (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) who created a race to be framed. His first lap is something memorable: the Englishman overtakes almost all corners, even on the outside, and recovers 8 positions in the very first lap. The positions recovered at the end of the race will be 19, counting his start from 24th position. For him, also the second best lap of the race.


• The best lap of the final (52,653) was scored by Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), also author of a fantastic race. The Italian risks less than the Englishman in the very first lap, but after him he shows an incredible performance, which allows him to recover 12 positions compared to the starting grid.


• Good race also for James Wharton (Parolin Motorsport - Parolin - TM Racing) who pays a 5 second penalty that makes him retreat from seventh to 14th position.


• Matheus Morgatto (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) also closed the final, 8th with 8 positions gained compared to the start, and Artem Severiukhin (Ward Racing - Tony Kart - Vortex), 9th with 6 positions recovered.


• Tenth is Ugo Ugochukwu (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), certainly below expectations after Friday's poe position.
