  • The KZ final, basically, is decided in the first corner, a few meters after the red lights go out: Both Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) and Alex Irlando (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) have a good getaway. Puhakka, however, starting from pole, has the inside line, while Irlando is on the outside. This, theoretically, could be a disadvantage, but it’s turned into an advantage by Irlando who makes the mosto out of all the speed obtained by tackling turn 1 with a less narrow trajectory. The Italian crosses the trajectory of Puhakka who ends wide and takes the lead. Position that will not leave until the end.

  • Matteo Viganò (Leclerc By Lennox Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing) also took advantage of Irlando's maneuver and moved up to second position, closely followed by Puhakka. The three in front started over 20 laps very tight on battling on the thousandth of a second at each lap. But with no chance of overtaking, as Puhakka told us at the end of the race "once you finish behind it becomes impossible to overtake also because after a few laps behind the driver, the temperatures of both tires and engine skyrocket".

  • The only thrill of the race is offered, unluckily for him, by Viganò who retires two laps to go due to a technical failure. Puhakka, who was following him very closely, touched him but did not suffer any damage, finishing second.

  • Third is Riccardo Longhi (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing). The Italian is desolate at the finish despite the third place "given" by Viganò and the best lap of the final because he completely misses the start by not engaging the first gear and thus standing still for a few instants.

  • Marijn Kremers (Birel ART Racing - Ricciardo Kart - TM Racing) closes in fourth place followed by Fabian Federer (SRP Racing Team - Maranello - TM Racing). The latter is capable of recovering six positions from the start, not just a performance in this circuit which, in KZ at least, seems to "forbid" overtaking.

  • Federer's same comeback is replicated by three other drivers who finish in the top 10. We are talking about Mirko Torsellini (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), Jorrit Pex (KR Motorsport - KR - TM Racing) and Paolo Ippolito (CRG - CRG - TM TRacing ), all able to recover 6 positions with respect to the start and respectively 8th, 9th and 10th on the finish line.

  • Sixth and seventh position, instead,  for Noah Milell (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) and Adrien Renaudin (Sodikart - Sodi - TM Racing).

  • The virtual prize for the best comeback, however, goes to Douglas Lundberg (Novalux - Lenzokart - TM Racing), 12th behind Lorenzo Camplese (SC Performance - Tony Kart - Vortex), but able to recover 8 positions.
