June 14, 2018 - Just over two weeks out from the International Kart Federation (IKF) 2-Cycle and 4-Cycle Sprint Grand Nationals presented by Maxwell Paper Products, the prestigious Duffy Awards will be up for grabs in a variety of different classes. Hosted by North Texas Karters in Denton, Texas, pre-event registration will remain open until June 18th at midnight as competitors are urged to register in advance.

"We invite everyone to come out, race and visit our Denton, Texas facility," explained DJ Ortiz, NTK Publicity Chairman. "We have put a lot of work into the track and are working hard towards a great event. We have crossed our t's and dotted our i's to ensure we have all of our bases covered and are ready for a great week of racing."

Located in the heart of Texas, the North Texas Karters program will host the third round of their Summer Series on Saturday, June 23rd. With the IKF Grand Nationals set to commence on the 26th, series officials invite all participants to head to Denton, Texas early and get some additional track time.

Ortiz continued, "We would love for any participants looking for a little extra track time to come out early, familiarize yourself with the area and facility as well as learn the Denton, Texas facility. We provide a fun and family friendly atmosphere and our Summer round #3 will provide a great lead in to our much-anticipated Grand National event."

Spec tires will be the Evinco Tires with the Evinco Blue compound utilized for all 4-Cycle classes, including Kid Kart, while the Evinco Red compound is reserved for all 2-Cycle divisions. One new set purchased is mandatory per driver.
