November 6, 2018 - In what can be classified as one of the premier karting events on the 2018 calendar, IPK North America and Leading Edge Motorsports left Las Vegas this past weekend with their heads held high. Competing at the ROK Cup USA ROK the RIO event on the grounds of the RIO All-Suites Hotel and Casino, the California based team secured three heat race wins and a main event podium as they proved the speed of the Formula K and Praga chassis.

"The event was run with the utmost in professionalism and the racing was second to none," explained Leading Edge Motorsports Greg Bell. "With our goals to improve, win and work closely with our dealer network, we proved that our drivers and our equipment are ready for the top step of the podium in North American karting competition."

Danny Formal ended his weekend with a second place result after scoring three heat race wins on Saturday. Starting from the tail of the field in heat one due to a non-performance enhancing post-qualifying technical disqualification, Formal drove from outside the top-twenty to an impressive second place finish.

Bell continued, "We tried to do the entire weekend on one motor and I think that is what bit us in the end. To do all the practice, heats and main event on a powerplant is no problem at all, but at this level, we need to make sure we have the best possible power available to go for the win. The Vortex ROK Shifter engine is proven to be reliable, as we turned every single lap of the weekend on the same engine and internal components with almost no issues. It is my own fault as since I only checked in one engine for Danny, I assumed that I would be able to rebuild top end for Saturday's competition but when I was told that was not the case, I knew we could be in trouble."

Casey Moyer claimed a 16th place finish in the Vortex Micro ROK category remaining consistent throughout the weekend. Stephan Eisert was one position better in the 35-kart strong Vortex Mini ROK class with a 15th place result while Paige Evans and Cooper Heffley battled hard in the ROK Senior category gaining experience and learning with each passing lap.

"It was great to have IPK North America dealer Tanda Racing run with us under one tent," expressed Bell. "We were able to share knowledge and keep our group almost like a close-knit family. I think our trackside presence was really good and I am excited where this program is heading in 2019 and beyond. I need to say an extra special thank you to ROK Cup Promotions and their staff for an outstanding job."

The next ROK Cup USA competition that IPK North America and Leading Edge Motorsports will take a part in is the 2019 Florida Winter Tour. Interested parties are asked to contact Greg Bell for a variety of different arrive and drive or tent and transport programs. Also, contact Leading Edge Motorsports for all your Vortex ROK needs.

IPK North America and Leading Edge Motorsports have multiple one and two race old Formula K and Praga chassis available for purchase.
