The Federation has officially communicated the majority vote of the CIK commission that confirsm the decision, after the cancellation of the European rounds, to concentrate the World championship in the Asian rounds.
The 2012 KF1 World title will thus be assigned based on the results of the rounds in Suzuka (Japan) and Macao (special administrative refion of the Chinese People’s Republic), already on calendar for May 19 and October 20.
The most prestigious karting title in history will be probably contended by all the top names of the international scene, with several “senators” returning on the KF1 non-shifter for the occasion, after having shifted to the KZ over the past seasons. Compared to original regulations, the Federation decided to suspend the engine lottery principle and keep entries open until May 1st.
