KZ: Kremers untouchable in Lonato

The KZ drivers were not much busy, with only four qualifying heats contested. In the very first heat (B-C), a great start from Dutch driver Marijn Kremers (Birel ART/TM Racing/B’stone) let him easily lead from lights-to-flag the heat, despite teammate pressure, Alessandro Irlando (Birel ART/TM Racing/B’stone) who finished second. The race had the retirement of one of the frontrunners, Anthony Abbasse (Sodi/TM Racing/B’stone) who now needs to improve his results in the following heats if he wants to secure a seat in the final.

A similar thing happened in heat A-D where qualifying pole sitter, Adrien Renaudin (Sodi/TM Racing/B’stone) dominated the whole heat, finishing in front of Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart/Vortex/B’stone) and Stan Pex (KR/TM Racing/B’stone).

The two heats of the afternoon were more intense in terms of race battles. In heat B-D Alessandro Irlando (Birel ART/TM Racing/B’stone) kept first place at the start but a mistake drop him to third place and allowed the Tony Kart’s of Matteo Viganò (Tony Kart/Vortex/B’stone) and Puhakka to cross the checker-flag in front of the Italian. In the same heat the bad luck of Pedro Hiltbrand (CRG/IAME/B’stone) continued as the Spanish crashed with Rick Dreezen (KR/Iame/B’stone) at the start.

Finally, in heat A-C, Kremers led again from lights-to-flag while the pole sitter, Adrien Renaudin had to comeback from a difficult race start.

KZ2: Denner gives no chance to his rivals

A total of 17 heats took part today on track for the KZ2 class. The driver of the day was clearly Emilien Denner (Sodi/TM Racing/B’stone). The Frenchman has been able to dominate and win in all the heats and puts himself in a very comfortable provisional pole position.

Another strong performance was shown by Danilo Albanese (Tony Kart/Vortex/B’stone) who always fought for heat victories taking first the checker-flag in heat F-G and B-G, but in the last heat of the day, a mechanical issue caused his retirement.

David Vidales (Tony Kart/Vortex/B’stone) has also shown a very strong performance on track. The Spanish driver has been able to win three heats and always has been driving in the top3, which puts him in provisional second place.

The Formula K of Giacomo Pollini (Formula K/TM Racing/B’stone) is also a one to watch, together with reigning European KZ2 champion, Emil Skaras (Energy Corse/TM Racing/B’stone). Both beat strong rivals in their heats and been always consistent in the top2.

The surprise of the day was Michele Fontana (CKR/TM Racing/B’stone). The CKR driver is always in the top five positions in each heat he took part and he is even able to win in heat E-F.

ACADEMY: Siksinelis and Ho set the pace

Today we clearly saw two drivers that dominated on track without issues: Christian Ho (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone) and Kajus Siksnelis (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone).

Ho clearly dominated heat B-C thanks to a good start and the battle for second place that had Maxwell Dodds (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone) and Elliott Vayron (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone). That battle allowed him to win by more than four seconds while Dodds ultimately beat Vayron.

Then, Siksnelis also dominated in heat A-D like Ho did, but the Lithuanian had to protect himself from the pressure of Robert De Haan (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone) and Gael Julien (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone) who both put pressure to Siksnelis but none of them could manage to do any overtake during the entry race.

In the afternoon, Ho repeated a dominating win in front of Vayron but the big battles were for third place between Zachary David (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone) and Jacob Douglas (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone), who overtook the driver from Philippines for third place with two laps left.

In the last heat of the day (heat A-C), happened the same as heat A-D with Siksnelis and De Haan again on top two places but with Siksnelis been much stronger in pace terms. The race had a multiple crash on lap two that affected Rishon Rajeev (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone), Lucas Staico (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone), Pedro Perino (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone), Wing Lam Xie (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone) and Eric Alanis (Exprit/Vortex/B’stone).
