KZ2: Palomba dominates in Lonato

Giuseppe Palomba (Birel ART/TM Racing/Bridg) had no rival today during the two manches in KZ2 class. The Italian led from lights-to-flag both manches while the battles for second place also in both manches was between Giacomo Pollini (Formula K/TM Racing/Bridg) and Stan Pex (KR/TM Racing/Bridg) with Pollini finishing second in manche 2 while Pex was second in manche 3.

OK: Smal versus Barnard, an intensified battle

The battled has intensified in OK class, specially with the battle between Taylor Barnard (KR/Iame/Bridg) and Kirill Smal (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg). In heat A-C and heat, A-D, both drivers battled for the victory but Smal decided to keep the position to finish in second place.

Meanwhile, in heats B-D the fight has been between Joe Turney (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg) and Pedro Hiltbrand (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg). Turney who started on pole managed to win both races while Hiltbrand starting in fourth finished second, just behind to his teammate in Tony Kart Racing Team.

Tomorrow the pole sitters for the prefinals will be from Ward Racing, with Kirill Smal on pole in prefinal A, while Norton Andreasson (Tony Kart/Vortex/Bridg), who is back in the Swede team, will start on pole in prefinal B.

OKJ: Antonelli and Bedrin, the classic duel for Lonato’s crown

Similarly, to OK and as we have seen in the last two WSK races in this track, the battle for tomorrow’s final victory looks to be in hands of Andrea Kimi Antonelli (KR/Iame/Vega) and Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega).

Antonelli won in all the heats and he will start from pole position in pre-final A, while Nikita Bedrin will do the same for prefinal B, with the Russian been untouchable in all heats except when he had to defeat against Antonelli.

Bedrin’s team-mate, Harley Keeble (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) today showed one of the most incredible comebacks as he progressed 17 positions in heat C-D to finish in P8. Heat race victory was in hands of Arvid Lindblad (KR/Iame/Vega).

Lindblad and Antonelli have not been the only strong drivers for KR Motorsport as Martinius Stenshorne (KR/Iame/Vega) also challenged the British to win heat D-E, and also Alfio Spina (KR/Iame/Vega) has shown strong pace finishing just behind Antonelli in heat A-D.

Today we also have seen many crashes. In heat A-B, Miron Pingasov (FA Kart/Iame/Vega) together with Konstantin Krapin (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega), Tasanapol Inthrapuvasak (KR/Iame/Vega), Alessandro Cendese (KR/Iame/Vega), Jokubas Bagdonavicius (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) and Mario Pirvulescu (Tony Kart/Vortex/Vega) were involved in a turn 1 crash in which luckily all drivers managed to walk away.

MINI: Al Dhaheri stays on top among many contenders

Rashid Al Dhaheri (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) continues showing that he is the man to beat in Mini as the Parolin Racing Kart won heats D-E and C-E.

Another driver of the day has been Oleksander Bondarev (Tony Kart/TM Racing/Vega) who beat Nikola Tsolov (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) and Anatoly Khavalkin (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) at the checker-flag during heat A-D.

Tsolov despite wining yesterday today he was unable to deliver the results and new winners appeared.

Kiano Blum (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) continued impressing everybody with the race victories in heat B-C and A-C, while the other race wins finished in hands of Enzo Tarnvanichkul (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) and Jan Przyrowsky (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) heats B-E and B-F.

The Mini class still have three more heats tomorrow morning before the prefinals.
