MARANELLO KART: GOOD SATISFACTION FOR BERNARDOTTO IN THE EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP AT GENK
TKART Staff
15 July 2015

PRESS RELEASE - TKART - Bernardotto put in great performances in the third and final round of the European KZ2 Championship in Belgium. Among the quickest in qualifying and in the heats, he ended 15th in the Final after a troubled Prefinal.

Great speed and competitiveness for Maranello Kart's Enrico Bernardotto in Genk at the third and final round of the European KZ2 Championship. Always among the quickest in the initial stages and in qualifying heats, Bernardotto has experienced some problems in the wet Prefinal and then ended 15th in the Final, but has been one of the main protagonists of the Belgian weekend.

The driver of Maranello, assisted by Alessandro Levratti, has displayed a great speed since qualifying at the challenging weekend of Genk, when he just missed out on being the fastest of his session by only 6 thousands of a second, as he was also slowed down by a rival in his quickest attempt. Such an inconvenience made him complete his best loop in 51.793s, that was second quickest of his series and ninth absolute out of the total 53 drivers.

The race pace shown by Enrico Bernardotto has been quite strong also in the heats, where he scored a fifth and fourth place in the first two races, result that was improved later on in the final two heats with a second and a third place that earned him a great sixth place in the provisional classification.

The rain fallen in the morning of the Prefinal made the track quite slippery and the situation got quite tricky especially when it came to finding the right setup. Bernardotto, as others, had to pay the toll of contacts and excursions off the best trajectory and had to settle for P18. The Final turned out to be a good battle on the dry track with fights from lights to flag. Bernardotto ended up in 15th place, scoring two further points for the classification that were added to the 5 obtained in the heats.

Bernardotto ended therefore in 20th place of the European KZ2 classification, but the Italian driver displayed great speed in Genk matching up the great quality of the Maranello Kart chassis.
