A COMPETITIVE DEBUT FOR RICCIARDO KART AT THE CIK-FIA EUROPEANS
TKART Staff
20 April 2015

PRESS RELEASE - TKART - Last weekend, Ricciardo Kart Racing Team debuted in the prestigious CIK-FIA European Championship in Sarno.

Unfortunately, a technical problem forced Rick Dreezen to withdraw from the Final while he was running fifth and battling for the podium. In fact, up until then, team and driver proved their competitive edge the whole way through, placing fifth and sixth in the heats and fifth in the Prefinal. Ricciardo Kart also gave a good performance with Mirko Torsellini: in the Prefinal, the Italian charged his way from sixteenth on grid to tenth at the line and in the Final he made up for a tough start with another amazing climb from fourteenth to eighth.

Rick Dreezen: “Luck is clearly not on our side for now, but in Sarno we again proved that we are very close to where we want to be. We did well all throughout weekend - too bad for the technical problem that kept us from battling for the podium.”

Mirko Torsellini: “We had a tough weekend in Sarno, but I am very happy of the work we are doing. We’re working hard to become more competitive and get better results.”

Next event on schedule: WSK Super Master Series -  23-26 April, Sarno (IT)

Next KZ - KZ2 CIK-FIA European Championship: 21-24 May, Zuera (SP).
