Once more, the prestigious international event of the Winter Cup will kick off the 2012 racing season. Everyone on track this weekend (February 17-19th) at the  South Garda circuit in Lonato (BS), Italy.

Over the recent past, the race organized on the South Garda circuit in Lonato (BS) has become the prestige event that inaugurates each race season at the international level. As always, the 2012 Winter Cup will be the premiere for the many new realities of the karting world, officializing the track debut of the various new entries of official teams and constituting a first preparation step for the technical staff of all the different Manufacturers. All in all, an date nobody wanted to miss, with record-breaking entries making the South Garda Karting circuit all “sold out”: the race will involve the maximum number of participants allowed, which means 288 drivers of whom 108 in KF2, 108 in KF3 and 72 in KZ2, out of a grand total of 360 registration requests! The Winter Cup promises once again to open the season of international karting  with a fantastic show.

Winter Cup 2012 schedule:
Thursday, February 16th  –  beginning of free practice
Friday, February 17th (pm) – official practice and first set of heats
Saturday, February 18th – heats
Sunday, February 19th –  repechage, prefinals and finals (from 1:30 pm)
