20 October 2012

The international final of the single-brand series by IAME dedicated to Parilla X30 engines has come to a close on the  Actua Karting Circuit in Lyon, France.

After the battles of the qualifyings and heats (CLICK HERE to read the news), titles have been assigned in all four categories: Junior, Senior, Master and Shifter.
The winner in the Junior dedicated to the youngest is Sette Camara (Art GP) after some unexpected turn of events: in the prefinal Darras (Tony Kart) had triumphed over Bollier (Kosmic) although both received a 10 second penalty for incorrect starting procedures: so Bollier started 15th, while Darras filed for appeal, “freezing” the standings and starting the final in pole ahead of Dauenhauer (Intrepid). In the final Darras then had to retire for technical issues and Sette Camara and Bollier (Kosmic) battled it out for victory: the latter was 1st at the checkered, but was then epanlized for his agressive pass over Sette Camara. Bollier wouldn’t have it and filed for appeal: Camara is 2nd and Andlauer (Intrepid) 3rd.
In the Senior, Gounon (Sodi) wins both the prefinal and the final: here the race ended under the “Slow” flag due to an accident, with Fraysse (Tony Kart) and Garcia (Intrepid) closing behind the Frenchman.
The champion in the Master is Blin (Kosmic), who in the not so distant past placed 3rd in the Formula A World Championship  of 1994; Blin gets the title after a prefinal  (repeated after a red flag at the start) where Allemand (PCR) won right in front of him (and where he slid from 2nd to 6th with a 3 second penalty). Then in the final things reversed and Allemand placed 2nd, with Raccamier (Tony Kart) 3rd.        The last category on track was the Shifter: here Bremer (Bremer) is immediately out, after his prefinal win, leaving the road to Delre (Sodi) who becomes the new international champion of the single-brander by IAME, ahead of Klinger (Alpha) and Halder (Wildkart).
