Our Racing Team is coming back at the South Garda Karting track in Lonato in the OK, OKJ and MINI categories.

Our Tony Kart Racing Team’s last phase of the sporting season is now at the start. After the OKJ title on the occasion of the FIA Karting World Championship in Sarno obtained two weeks ago, the Tony Kart Racer 401 RR is again protagonist at the WSK Open Cup of Lonato, still powered by the DST (OK) and DJT (OKJ) Vortex engines (OTK Kart Group "engine division"). In the MINI class, on the other hand, as always, the Racing Team goes on track with the Tony Kart Rookie - Vortex MCX duo.

After the title obtained last year in the OKJ category with our Racing Team, James Egozi faces for the first time the WSK Open Cup in the OK class, the category in which he has been racing since the beginning of the 2022 season. The American driver does not fully exploit his potential in qualifying and in the qualifying heats he is relegated to the second half of the ranking. However, Egozi emerges from the group on Sunday morning: in the warm-up he sets the best lap and in the prefinal he gains a remarkable 15-place comeback, which allows Egozi to start from the front row in the final. Unfortunately, starting from the outside line does not give him any advantage at the first corner. After 21 laps, the American driver is fifth under the chequered flag.
Absolute debut in the master class of single-gear karts for Jan Przyrowski, WSK Euro Series 2022 Champion and third at the World Championship in Sarno in the OKJ category. The Polish driver is immediately at ease among the "Seniors", signing the fifth time in the chrono practices, but in the prefinal he is involved in a multiple accident and falls to the back of the grid. Przyrowski does not give up and, after the fast lap obtained in the prefinal, he proves to be one of the most effective drivers also in the final: he recovers 14 positions, scores the best overall time and finishes inside the Top 10.

In OKJ, Enzo Tarnvanichkul comes to Lonato on the strength of the "Junior" world title won two weeks before at the Naples International Circuit. Already in qualifying, the Thai driver has what it takes to play for a place at the top of the ranking and finishes fourth in his qualifying group, also setting the best time in the first sector. Our young driver also runs in the top positions in the qualifying heats and ends the final inside the Top 10, although in the post-race phase the stewards give him a 5-second penalty for his front spoiler in the wrong position.
Good results also for Alp Hasan Aksoy, our second driver entering the final. The Turkish driver, also fourth in his group in the chrono practices, shows off in the final race of the weekend: +7 positions compared to the starting grid.
Bad luck for Maria Germano Neto: just as she was climbing the intermediate ranking in the eliminatory heats, the Portuguese driver suffers an injury and, as a precaution, does not go on track on Sunday.

In the MINI category, Ludovico Mazzola's apprenticeship continues in a category that sees around ninety drivers at the start. The Italian opens Friday's free practices with the fastest lap in his session and hits a Top 5 as best result in the qualifying heats. Mazzola disputes a flawless final and gains 5 positions in total.

After the South Garda Karting of Lonato, the Tony Kart Racing Team will be back on track again in Sarno within a month (November 3rd - 6th), on the occasion of the first of the two WSK Final Cup appointments.
