Top 10 again for Tiziano Monza in La Conca!

24 March 2021

The Sauber Karting Team had a good weekend in La Conca, for the second round of the WSK Super Master Series 2021. Tiziano Monza, driving in 60 Mini class, again showed great speed and race craft, in a category known to be highly unpredictable; he finished the race in P6 pretty close to the lead.

The track of La Conca was new to many drivers, including most youngsters in OK Junior; it's been great to see how fast they got used to the massive amount of grip that this track has. Miguel Costa delivered a convincing performance, being consistent throughout the whole weekend; he finished in P5 in OKJ.

It’s been a tougher weekend for Wisniewski who wasn’t lucky during the final, despite having the same lap times as the leaders; overall, the Polish driver showed to be up to his usual standards.

Unfortunately, Ugochukwu (OK Senior), Ho (OK Senior) and Smith (OK Junior) have all been involved in racing incidents during the pre finals and did not gain access to the final.

Our driver from Poland, Maciej Gladysz (OK Junior), who’s also been fast and competitive during the weekend, has been forced to an early retirement from the competition, due to a serious back pain, caused by an improper collision with a kerb; this type of injury is pretty common in Karting, especially for younger drivers.

He’s now being treated by physiotherapists to heal the pain and will hopefully be ready for the next round of Sarno.
