WSK Super Master Series rd 4, Lonato: OKJ Final: race and championship to Rashid Al Dhaheri
Luca Basso
25 April 2021

Tires: Vega

  • UOnly one valid strategy for Rashid Al Dhaheri (Parolin Motorsport - Parolin - TM Racing) in the weekend in Lonato: get the best results. And the driver from the United Arab Emirates completes his task perfectly with two victories, one in pre-final A and one in the final, the latter race in the lead from the stop lights to the checkered flag. Al Dhaheri, despite one round less due to COVID-19, wins the WSK Super Master Series title.

  • Harley Keeble (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) is Al Dhaheri's only opponent in the final. The British driver initially remained close to the Parolin Motorsport standard bearer, but was unable to catch up with him. However, Keeble is very good second and less than a second behind the winner.

  • Matheus Ferreira (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) remains involved in the beautiful brawl in the positions immediately following the first two, losing the necessary pace to counter Al Dhaheri in the fight for the title. The Brazilian driver finishes in fourth place, second in the championship.

  • Kean Nakamura Berta (Forza Racing - Exprit - TM Racing) is also involved in the initial battle for third place, but after several laps he firmly takes the position and leads the group of pursuers. The Japanese driver thus climbs to the lowest step of the podium.

  • Disappointed Alex Powell (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) at the end of the final. The driver with Jamaican license, leading the championship before this round, lacks speed throughout the weekend as well as in the final: 18th, also due to a 5-second penalty for the nose in the wrong position. And in the championship he comes third.

  • James Egozi (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) unleashed on Sunday. The American driver recovered 11 positions in the pre-final, set the fastest lap and finished fifth; in the final he repeats the recovery (of 5 positions) up to fifth place and always with the best lap of the race.

  • Freddie Slater (Ricky Flynn Motorsport - Kosmic - Vortex) flexes his muscles in the fight for the top positions but finishes in sixth place. Kirill Kutskov (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) finished seventh, followed by William Macintyre (Birel ART Racing - Birel ART - TM Racing), eighth; Coskun Irfan (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) ninth; Sonny Smith (Forza Racing - Exprit - TM Racing), tenth.

  • Akshay Bohra (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), one of the eligible drivers for the title of the category, ends only 20th. Maksimilian Popov (Ward Racing - Tony Kart - Vortex) retired in the final, fourth in the championship before this round in Lonato.
