Last weekend we attended the World Championship of karting in Lonato with 5 drivers in KZ2 and our guest driver from Hong Kong in KZ1.

We showed top performance, demonstrating since Wednesday's free practices to be among the fastest.

This is what happened:

MICHELE FONTANA (IT):  keeping a consistent top performance, he signed the 6° best time in the Qualifying practice out of 126 drivers in KZ2 and the second best lap of the group securing him the front row in the eliminatory heats.
Michele, who finished all the heats in the top 5: P5, P2, P1, P3, P4 and P3 proved to have the skills to compete for the top.
In the Final, starting in 5th position, a hesitance of the driver in front, forced him to lose several positions. Nevertheless, he fought back to come up achieving the 13th place in addition to the added penalties for losing the bumper during the race.

WILLIAM LANZENI (IT): a great demonstration of our William who already promised to be among the first 4 of the group during the free practice.
Too bad that a technical problem in the QH has penalized him, forcing him to start in the 9th row in the heats. However, William was very competitive recovering always ranking positions, arriving in 7P in one of the heats.
He really deserved to race the Final and for only one penalty point we missed his most expected race.

JUSTIN VAN DER SCHAFT (NL): despite being in his 4 race titled Justin was in good shape to get to 7 tenths from the fastest, we are sure that in the future with more experience he will aim for better results.

ANDREA SANDRI (IT): after a long time of racing inactivity, it was difficult for him to find the feeling with the new tyres but we are sure that with the proper training Andrea can certainly get good speed.

RONNY TABAKOVIC (DE): very motivated our German driver, followed by Dirk Neu Racing who in the QH reduced the gap to half a second from the first, improving race after race his performance focusing on driving dynamics and telemetric information dictated by his teammates.

JACKY CHAN (HK): our guest driver in KZ1 went back home happy for his racing experience at the top of karting. Despite the high level of his opponents, he committed reducing the gap manches after manches from the first

We are satisfied to see the teamwork done by our drivers, mechanics and assistants under our tent.

CKR thanks all our racing team, to Dirk Neu motorists, Stivanello Giorgio and Viti racing and Michele Zampieri.
