Good week end for Rosberg Racing Academy in Angerville
TKART Staff
24 April 2019

Rosberg Racing Academy just completed the first round of this 2019 CIK FIA European Championship in Angerville, France.

We had good performance from Taylor Barnard in OK class, as he scored some points by finishing P4 in the final. He’s currently in the fight for the championship!

A bit of misfortune for Han and Antonelli kept them from getting more, but they had the speed to be in better positions. We’re looking forward to the next round in Genk, Belgium!

Our Manager Flavio tells us about the racing week end:

“We’re happy about the performance showed by Taylor Barnard in OK. His performance has been good on qualy and during the heats, since he managed to stay away from troubles and keep a solid pace. He crossed the finish line in P4 in the final, scoring some important points, so he now is in a good position for the Championship battle.

Han got stuck in the traffic during his qualifying and had to start from the middle of the field. It isn’t ideal when you’re racing on such a narrow race track, so he got involved in some contacts. Overall I believe he has the speed to be in the Top 10; he’s going to show his true potential during the season.

Antonelli didn’t start the week in proper physical conditions unfortunately; he had the flu and couldn’t take part to most of the practice sessions. It obviously was a pretty hard week end for him but still he was able to show a good pace in the final; he seemed competitive enough to be in the Top 5. We all know how racing is, and we believe that next week end he’s going to come back stronger.”

Kart Republic General Manager Dino Chiesa:

“Taylor Barnard completed a strong week end in OK; he’s always been on top, able to score points in the final and put himself in a good position for the Championship. Han also was pretty fast but unlucky; he keeps growing and getting better race by race.

This week end the overall performance was conditioned by a multitude of events, because Angerville is a pretty narrow track and it’s easy to have troubles during the race start. I always like to look at the positive side of things, and I believe we’ve been in a good position for this week end in terms of performance.”

Rosberg Racing Academy is now ready to go straight forward to the next round of the WSK Euro Series, helding this weekend again in Angerville.

Antonelli is close to the Top 10, after an unlucky first round in Sarno, and he’s looking forward to climbing the rank!
