Bittersweet weekend for our drivers in Sarno, for the first round of the WSK Euro Series.

Taylor Barnard had the speed to aim to the podium in OK but couldn't go beyond P6 in the final because of a contact happened during the first lap; the Brit was forced to regain from P8 to eventually cross the finish line in P4, showing a very good pace; unfortunately, the previous contact damaged his front spoiler, causing an innocent 5 seconds penalty that dropped him to P6.
Van Hoepen had a positive weekend, despite some bad luck in one heat, which forced him to start from the back for the pre-final; the Dutchman also had to regain to finish P17.

Taylor Barnard, OK Driver: I got touched going into the first corner and I hit someone because of that, which costed me a 5 seconds bumper penalty. After that, a race incident happened and I lost some places, so it's been just a recovery race for me. I had good speed and finished 4th, but that penalty dropped me back to 6th. Thanks anyway to KR for the speed and hopefully next week will be a little bit better!

Rosberg Racing Academy Team Manager, Flavio: We could have done more in the final; Barnard had a race incident while he was fighting for the podium and ended up losing some places. Anyway he's regained back to P6, also scoring the second fastest lap.

Van Hoepen had a problem during one heat, which costed him a good starting position for the final; we believe he could have done better if he had started higher in the pack.

Stenshorne had a tough weekend in OKJ, but we know the reason; this was his first race after the lockdown, so he just needs to recover and will come back in good shape soon!
