January 8, 2019 – After a tremendous 2018 season that saw Speed Concepts Racing score multiple race wins, countless podiums and a handful of championships, the elite karting program is set to take on their 2019 campaign. Kicking the season off this weekend at the AMR Motorplex in Homestead, Florida, Speed Concepts Racing will enter seven drivers in the Superkarts! USA (SKUSA) Winter Series.

“While there was no racing in December, we did not take much time off,” explained Mike Speed. “Prepping and building to be 100% ready for the start of this season, we also spent a lot of time getting our new dyno in place and operational to bring our engine program in house. All of our drivers are returning, which explains a lot about how we do as an operation.”

Taking on the IAME Mini Swift class this coming weekend will be the same duo as 2018. With a year’s worth of experience and coaching under their belts, Noah Baker and Paul Bocuse will fly the Speed Concepts Racing colors and will be 100% focused on the top step of the podium.

Baker and Bocuse showed speed throughout the past year and will search for the consistency that wins championship is 2019.

Four drivers will enter the IAME X30 Junior category as Justin Arseneau, Luke Lange, Luca Mars and Kyffin Simpson will do battle for the Orlando, Florida based outfit. Results wise, Mars led the way before the turn of the calendar but it is a clean slate in 2019, and all four should be a threat for race wins and podium results in the Sunshine State.

Veteran driver and Masters frontrunner Scott Roberts will also enter his name in the X30 Masters division in Homestead. A threat for a podium during each and every event, Roberts will look to use track knowledge to his advantage this coming weekend.

With two test weekends at the AMR Motorplex now behind them, Speed Concepts Racing has shifted their focus to race weekend. With practice taking place on Thursday and Friday, wheel-to-wheel action will commence on Saturday morning and continue throughout the weekend.

Speed Concepts Racing will continue to sell their team chassis after each and every event weekend. With multiple 2018 chassis available for purchase, interested parties are asked to contact Speed Concepts Racing for more information.
