In Adria several drivers in different classes lamented a blister problem on their tires.

But what exactly is a blister?

It is a bubble that forms on the tire’s side wall due to overheating. This irreversibly affects grip, both laterally and when breaking and accelerating. Not only, when blisters form, it means  tires have been overworked past their standard physical and dynamic properties.

Top drivers like Flavio Camponeschi and Rick Dreezen in KZ2 or Nicklas Nilsen in KF were plagued by the problem in Adria, with clear consequences on their performance. It didn’t take long for the polemic to break out on social networks. The choir is pretty much unanimous: “It’s Vega’s fault!”.

As the rules of  “good journalism” want, when a polemic ensues, TKART never listens to just one side of the story (in this case unhappy drivers). So we contacted Vega to hear their point of view on the problem afflicting its tires.

On TKART issue 5, Vega’s reply and Lennox-Lamb’s point of view (who plagued by tire blisters in Adria)!
