If you have a chassis (such as an engine, or a braking system, etc,) with an approval that is no longer valid, it is not possible to enter a race that applies FIA Karting regulations, whatever its importance (regional, national or international). If in possession of expired material, the amateur kart driver can still race freely on the track during free practice days, get involved in amateur races not regulated by the FIA, or participate in Brand Trophies in which the use of components whose approval has expired is permitted (in some cases, with approval expired for a maximum of 1 year).
