Wheels require little maintenance, but if they are left in the garage for several months, it is better to remove the tyre. In the long run, the tension of the tyre will make the wheel structure oval, ruining it. A good way to understand whether the rear wheels are crooked is to turn the kart on the trolley and check how they turn. If you notice excessive vibration they need to be replaced.
