The training of drivers is still a very vague topic, so much so that there are numerous false myths that can deceive those who do not have a thorough undertsnading of the subject. This is why we at TKART have asked the staff of Formula Medicine to help us debunk some of them. Here they are:



1. Unlike a muscle, the brain does not change its structure and therefore cannot be physically trained to increase performance. to improve performance you can only intervene on the control of anxiety and emotions

5. Although drivers perform their activity while sitting, their heart rates are higher even than those of cyclists or marathon runners

6. The cognitive activity of the brain is constantly very high while driving, especially on bends, since the driver has to think about many things

7. The fundamental component of a driver's physical training is represented by workouts in the gym, to improve the strength and muscle mass of the arms, shoulders and neck
