The long-awaited return to the track arrived also for the young Ferrari driver, who drove all the way to South Garda Karting for a training day at the wheel of his CL16 kart

The virtual racing season came to an end also for Charles Leclerc, who today, Wednesday 10 June, did without the simulator to stop by the South Garda Karting in Lonato (Brescia / Italy) and return to the wheel of the vehicle with which his motorsport career began: a go-kart.

However, this is not an ordinary track day for him. The Monegasque, in fact, will take to the track with his CL16 kart, the brand launched this winter in collaboration with Birel ART and brought to the track by the Leclerc By Lennox Racing Team to compete in the most important CIK-FIA and WSK races.

The configuration chosen by Charles for the test day is the shifter one, the same one that, with the Birel ART brand, won the Karting World Championship KZ 2019 right in Lonato. The engine is a special version, "CL signed", of the KZ-R1 prepared for the occasion by TM Racing.

Among those present, in addition to Charles, who immediately after the usual greetings with Ronni Sala, owner of Birel ART, and Jordon Lennox-Lamb, tried the seating position of his kart, also the official Leclerc By Lennox Racing driver Matteo Viganò and Antonio Fuoco, Ferrari Racing Development driver. In addition to some friends who, as on other occasions, accompanied Leclerc to Lonato to spend the day with him.

As for the weather is concerned, the situation seems to turn for the best, despite some clouds, with Charles that hass has already taken to the track for the first session of what looks set to be an intense day of karting here at South Garda Karting.
