Always a great observer of fresh four-wheel talent, Red Bull is completing its selection for the 2016 Junior Team, signing on two names who were rising stars of karting just a couple seasons ago: Sergio Sette Camara and Niko Kari.

[dropcap]F[/dropcap]act: Over the past few years, the Red Bull Junior Team has been producing new racing aces like no other motorsport outfit. Fact: most of these aces began their career from karting.
It’s thus always interesting to discover who the Austrian team has decided to bet on. The full official list of new entries for 2016 has yet to be officialized, but three names are already certain and two of them are “old friends” of the karting world: Niko Kari and Sergio Sette Camara.

The Finn Niko Kari, born in 1999, competed in KF3 (then KFJ) and KF with major teams like Ward Racing and always with OTK vehicles (mostly Tony Kart, but also FA). His best career result was fifth place in the 2014 CIK-FIA KF European Championship, with a second place finish in the final of the closing round at La Conca.

Born in 1998 in Belo Horizonte, Camara raced for several years at “home”, before emerging at the international level with the 2012 Iame International Final victory (X30 Junior category). He then competed in KFJ, with Art GP, and KF before his jump to car racing.

The third sure name for the 2016 Red Bull Junior Team is that of Australian Luis Leeds. Born in 2000, like most Australians, Leeds’ karting career was restricted to his home country, with the exception of the SKUSA SuperNationals in Las Vegas.

Best of luck to all three!
