The success of the Historic Kart events is confirmed year after year. Around the world, the old machines are restored and updated by enthusiasts as testimonies to the origins of the discipline. The interactions are increasing thanks to the internet, as well as through increasingly numerous events that also attract a large audience of newcomers.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he CIK-FIA has been involved in this process for several years by participating in two important events each season, the Coppa dei Campioni and CIK-FIA Historic Karting Super Cup.

This year, the 5th edition of the Coppa di Campioni Vintage took place in May at the Pista Azzurra in Jesolo (ITA). Through the organisation of the Automotoclub Storico Italiano, many historic karts were on show as part of the Go Kart ASI Show, a popular event that attracts enthusiasts and amateurs from all backgrounds. The running sessions on the famous Jesolo track were a great success.



The CIK-FIA Historic Karting Super Cup was held for the 4th time within the framework of the CIK-FIA World KZ Championship,organised this year in Sweden at the Kristianstad track in early September.

This unusual location favoured the arrival of experts from the north and east of Europe and the exhibition of rare machines such as the first Swedish chassis built in 1959, proudly presented by Harm Schurmann. Several Robardie chassis, the brand created by the father of Swedish F1 driver Ronnie Peterson, and amazing Russian productions, caused a sensation in the beautiful awning installed in the heart of the paddock, close to the young talents of the CIK-FIAKarting Academy Trophy.
