27 January 2014

On Saturday February 1, 2014 the Pala K indoor kart track outside of Milan Italy (Cinisello Balsamo) will host the 8th edition of Kart Gran Prize.

The initiative was created by the LELE Forever non-profit organization that makes of charitable fundraising its primary mission. Specifically, KGP event proceedings will go towards the completion of the "Lele & Lory House" and towards the launch of other projects aimed at improving the quality of equipment in the Adult Hematology Department of San Gerardo Hospital in Monza, Italy. All participants will thus be contributing to these causes with their 45 euro registration fee.

In sporting terms, this eighth edition will inauguate some significant changes compared to previous years, starting from event day and time: Saturday night, instead of Sunday. Only 3 categories will be competing: Men, Women, and Under 18. Each one will be divided in groups of 12 drivers, each of which will face two mini GPs (consisting of 5 minutes of free practice + line-up + six lap heat). The 32 best-placed drivers at the end of the two eliminatory runs will then be admitted to the final phase. For any additional information, please visit the organization's official website.
