An expected end of the WSK Euro Series at Adria Karting Raceway as Rashid Al Dhaheri won the championship with a certain tranquility as his rival William MacIntyre was unable to be up front during the weekend. Dimitry Matveev won the final, while final B was won by Maksim Orlov.

Podium Final Adria

The action started with prefinal A, led by a great start from Dimitry Matveev (Energy/TM Racing/Vega) which was key for the race victory as he took the lead from third place and led until the checker flag from Rashid Al Dhaheri (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) and Kirill Kutskov (Energy/TM Racing/Vega).

Then in prefinal B, Manuel Scognamiglio (Tony Kart/TM Racing/Vega) tried to keep the pace in the lead of the race but he was beaten by his Italian compatriots, Francesco Marenghi (Energy/TM Racing/Vega) and Andrea Filaferro (Tony Kart/TM Racing/Vega) who won the race.

Then in Final B, Michael Ider (DR/TM Racing/Vega) was clearly leading the race until he was hit by Davide Larini (Tony Kart/TM Racing/Vega) who put the Italian off the track and let Maksim Orlov (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) to take the lead and the victory ahead of Larini and Swiss Kilian Josseron (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega).

Then the final had a dramatic start. A big contact between Marenghi, William MacIntyre (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) and Nikola Tsolov (Parolin/TM Racing/Vega) caused immediately the red flag in the opening lap due to a required assistance to Tsolov who had a big impact.

So, the race had to start again with the same starting grid positions. The pole sitter, Dimitry Matveev together with the Arabian Al Dhaheri pulled away from the rest of the pack.

Meanwhile, MacIntyre who started from 9th place and was the only one able to beat Al Dhaheri for the championship, could not keep the pace and despite running in the top 5, he finally fell to finish in ninth place.

Therefore, Al Dhaheri did not attack Matveev in the latest, so it was enough for the Russian to win the final, while Al Dhaheri with the second place sealed the WSK Euro Series championship. Kirill Kutskov completed the overall podium after a great fight with Marenghi and Andrea Filaferro (Tony Kart/TM Racing/Vega).
