HOTNEWS - TKART - Birel karts conquer two podiums in the charity race organized by successful F1, NASCAR and Indycar talent Juan Pablo Montoya to help the children of "his" Columbia.

This year the great Race of Stars that raises funds for Montoya's Fundación Fórmula Sonrisas took place at the Autodromo Tocancipa to the north of Bogota on November 29-30. The event was a success, with 110 VIPs of the four wheel racing world battling each other to help poverty-stricken Columbian children smile again. In particular, it was a success for Birel karts, which conquered the 3rd step of the podium in the Rotax Mini Max with young girl driver Valeria Varagas, who races for Team Monotya Racing wih the support of Birel's Columbian importer H2O Racing, as well as in the Rotax Master Max with Victor Jerez of the official Birel H2O Racing Team Colombia.

This is how the Italian factory's "boss" Ronni Sala commented the achievement: “Once again, we are proud to have participated to this important social initiative organized by Juan Pablo Montoya, who has always been clsoe to our brand. Our racing chassis gave proof of excellent eprformance standards [...] I am really happy of Valeria's result and of all the hard work that H2O is doing with the breeding ground of young Columbian drivers”.
