CIK-FIA EURO KZ2: GENK, ROUND 1, SATURDAY REVIEW
TKART Staff
13 June 2014

HOT NEWS - TKART - GENK (BE) - After yesterday's pole position, Andrea Dalè (CRG/Maxter) reconfirms his leadership with an impeccable performance. He wins all 4 of his heats and tops the charts. Jan Midrla (Birel/TM) will join him in front row tomorrow, after winning 3 races today.

Row 2 has been secured by the Scandinavian duo of Douglas Lundberg (Alpha/Parilla) and Andreas Hansen (Tony Kart/Vortex), respectively winners of two and one heats. The top 10 also includes a number of drivers who managed considrable rebounds compared to the qualifyings. Italian Matteo Zanchi (GP/TM), went from 17th to 7th; Guust Specken (Intrepid/TM) went from 15th to 8th; Simone Brenna (Tb KArt/Modena Engines) went from 23rd to 9th; and Finn Kooijman (CRG/TM) went from 20th to 10th. The biggest climb was by Menno Paauwe (Birel/TM): up 20 positions and now 13th, ready to start the prefinal from row 7. However, while some rose, others dropped, like Marijn Kremers (Birel/TM). The driver clocked out with the 2nd best time on Friday and today in the heats he mixed great results (twice second and once third) with a withdrawal. He is down to row 7 for the start of the prefinal. Luca Corberi (Kosmic/Vortex) also struggled today: he was 6th before the heats and is now 21st.
