8:00 pm: Lando Norris (FA Kart-Vortex) and Robert Shwartzman (Tony Kart-TM) win the two KFJ prefinals. Norris will start from pole position.

In prefinal 1 at the first lap, second corner,a crash sends Aubry and Albanese out, along with others. Ahmed, who starts from pole position, takes off first, followed by Daruvala, Mazepin, Shwartzman, Alessio Lorandi, Johnsen. On lap 2,  Daruvala overtakes Ahmed. Behind them the train of chasers that forms is led by  Mazepin,  Ticktum, Shwartzman and Lorandi. The rpessure is on and a lap later Mazepin is passed by the rest of the pack.

Ahmed keeps hounding Daruvala and the Ticktum-Shwartzman duo, further off, tries to ctach up . In fact, soon after, the race is animated by a double pass with  Ahmed getting ahead of Daruvala and Shwartzman replicating the move on Ticktum.

The top order changes to Ahmed, Shwartzman, Ticktum, Daruvala and Lorandi. While the two duel amongst themselves, the rivals in tow mess around after Ticktum creates some confusion: the result is that the gap from the two duo widens and that Mazepin manages to take control of the chasing pack and rise up to third place, right as Shwartzman is passing Ahmed. This is how the race will end, with the russian ahead of the Englishman, followed by Mazepin and then Lorandi, fourth with a pass on Ticktu

At the start of prefinal 2 Kari takes oof from second place on grid and keeps wide. Pulcini and Leonardo Lorandi take advantage of the open door, then Lorandi is passed by Pulcini and, soon after, also by Kari. Sitnikov, instead, gets right behind the Italian of the Baby Race team. Norris takes no notice and starts his charge for triumph that will allow him to win uncdisturbed. Pulcini chases after him at a distance, followed by Kari who gets rid of Lorandi, Sitnikov and Bollier. In the meantime Bonduel, eleventh, slides down the field, but scores the best time on lap 5, only to lose the time record to Vartanyan, who will claim the best lap of the race when the lights go off. Not much happens after this in terms of position changes, even if on the last laps Lorandi and Bollier, fourth and fifth, are racing faster than Kari, Pulcini and Norris, although without being able to catch up. 2 laps from the end, Bollier passes Lorandi, then Sitnikov reels both of them in and gets ahead of them. The final finsihing order at the checkered is : Norris, Pulcini, Kari, Sitnikov, Leo Lorandi and Bollier.
