DE CONTO TAKES POLE FOR THE LAS VEGAS FINAL

HOT NEWS - TKART - LAS VEGAS - Saturday – Today the BirelArt driver managed to take another win in heat 3, the last race before the final. He is thus set to start from pole position.

In today’s warm-up the fastest of all was Jonathan Thonon (Praga/Pailla), even faster than the (until then) unbeatable Paolo De Conto (BirelArt/TM). Yet in the only heat race of the day, heat 3, the Italian took another win with the same ease as all the others on his BirelArt (the new chassis born from the fusion between Birel and ArtGP that he is inaugurating here in Vegas).

Jonathan Thonon ends this last heat in second place, giving the impression of being the only one who can keep up with the Italian and maybe, just maybe, who may try to win if he finds the right prompt tomorrow in the final. We’ll have to wait and see, though, because many drivers played on the conservative side in this third heat.

Patrik Hajek (Praga/Parilla) and Gary Carlton (TBKart/Modena Engines) went faster than ever this weekend, but both avoided taking risks. A withdrawal in this heat race would have meant no chance at all for tomorrow’s final.

Lorenzo Camplese (Maranello/TM) also does a standout performance, scoring the fastest lap, also thanks to newer tires than others after his withdrawal from heat 2 yesterday.

Davide Forè (CRG/Maxter) fights like a lion as always and ends sixth, ahead of Jeremy Iglesias (Lenzo Kart/Modena Engines). Bas Lammers (FK/Parilla) follows in eighth: after a brilliant start as usual, he dropped back and was involved in several contacts that forced him to settle for such a dull result. Daniel Bray (Aluminios/TM) and Alessandro Bressan (CompKart/TM) round off the top 10.
