The American takes his first victory in a FIA Karting race and also leads the championship, while his rivals throw away valuable points in the last stages of the race

  • The supremacy of Ugo Ugochukwu (Sauber Karting Team - KR - IAME) in the Qualifying Heats turns into an awesome victory of today's final, in which the American leaves his opponents in place after already a couple of laps and then crosses the finish line with a lead of over 6 seconds.

  • With this first place and the one obtained at the end of the Qualifying Heats, Ugochukwu takes home all 35 points up for grabs in this second round and dethrones Tuukka Taponen (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) from the championship lead.

  • The second step of the podium is instead won by Freddie Slater (Ricky Flynn Motorsport - Kosmic kart - Vortex): the ninth position on the grid obviously did not reflect the potential of the Englishman, who immediately jumps ahead of 4 opponents in the first lap and then takes advantage of the squabble in the last lap between Tuukka Taponen, Harley Keeble (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) and Arvid Lindblad (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), who at that time was in second place.

  • Lindblad will then be third on the finish line, the same position he also sits in the overall championship standings, ahead of Tuukka Taponen, fourth after being second place for 14 laps before having to surrender to Lindblad.

  • Karol Pasiewicz (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex) manages to conquer an excellent fifth place making up 10 positions. A result perhaps unexpected for the Pole, involved in an accident in the last Qualifying Heats this morning.

  • Maxwell Dodds (Parolin Racing kart - Parolin - TM Racing), sixth after starting the weekend on pole, edges a heroic Igor Cepil (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME), who climbs 14 positions. In fact, it could have been even more if he hadn't been involved in the fight that broke out behind Ugochukwu, which forced him to go briefly off the track.

  •  Bruno Del Pino (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), Valerio Rinicella (Parolin Racing Kart - Parolin - TM Racing) and Tymoteusz Kucharczyk (Birel ART Racing - RK - TM Racing) round out the top-ten. The Pole lost several positions in the second lap following an attempt to overtake Taponen which turned into a contact between the two after which Kucharczyk paid the highest price.

  • Harley Keeble (Tony Kart Racing Team - Tony Kart - Vortex), fifth on the finish line, finds himself 12th after a penalty for an incorrect front fairing. Behind him, Alex Powell (KR Motorsport - KR - IAME) recovers 9 positions after having scored two DNFs in the Heats. Excellent comebacks also by Edgar Anpilogov (Ricky Flynn Motorsport - Kosmic kart - Vortex), 14th at the finish line but 33rd on the grid, and Flavio Olivieri (Newman Motorsport - Tony Kart - Vortex), also capable of recovering 19th positions from the last spot.
