RICCIARDO KART ON TOP AT THE WSK SUPER MASTER SERIES IN MURO LECCESE

PRESS RELEASE - TKART - Daniel Ricciardo’s team was on top of the competition in the third round of the WSK Super Master Series held at the La Conca circuit in Muro Leccese last weekend, once again confirming its top performance standards, despite some unfortunate incidents.

In the KZ2 category, Rick Dreezen opened the weekend with the third fastest qualifying time. In the Heats, the Belgian placed twice fifth and once sixth, to land fifth on grid for the Prefinal. Here he was ready to express the full potential of his Ricciardo Kart, but unfortunately a contact on lap one forced him to withdraw. In the Final, Dreezen charged from the rear all the way to thirteenth, then a technical glitch forced him once more to end the race prematurely.

The Ricciardo Kart team met bad luck also in KFJ with Rasmus Lindh. After a mistake in his qualifying session, the Swede had to start the heats from the rear of the field, but he did an impressive job of picking up the pace and achieved great results, including ninth and sixth in heats 2 and 4, plus the fastest lap. Unfortunately, in the Prefinal Lindh clashed with a rival while attempting a pass and had to retire.

Gianluca Beggio, Birel ART General Manager: “Ricciardo Kart showed great speed in both the KZ2 and the KFJ, proving the competitive edge of its chassis across the board. It’s a pity that unfortunate incidents kept the team from collecting the results it deserved, considering how well it raced as soon as Thursday’s free practice”.
