This coming weekend karts will step on track in Lonato for the 18th edition of the Winter Cup

14 February 2013

Despite the heavy snowfall of the past days, the classic international season opener of the Winter Cup is ready to hit the track this coming weekend: over 260 entries in three categories (KZ2, KF, KFJ) will be revving up on the South Garda circuit in Lonato (BS), Italy.

TKart will be on site to see up close how teams and drivers are gearing up for the season and to follow the many names at their absolute debut (especially in the KF and KF Junior categories, where among others the son of former Formula 1 racer Jean Alesi is raising great expectations) as well as those premiering as new entries on the various teams. All the major official teams will be on track, including Tony Kart with Rick Dreezen, winner of the last edition in the KZ2, Birel Motorsport with George Russell, winner in 2012 in KF3 (now KFJ) and today debuting in KF, and CRG with Max Verstappen, defending the title in the KF2 (now KF); but there are many other teams that have good chances at playing a key role, like, just to name a few, Energy, Praga, Kosmic and ART GP. See the event schedule below to follow every step of the action.
