WSK FINAL CUP: KZ2 FINAL, MARCO ARDIGÒ WINS
TKART Staff
01 November 2014

HOT NEWS - TKART - ADRIA - In the KZ2 final Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart/Vortex) does everything right and confirms his great weekend performance . He is the winner of the 2014 Final Cup.

Jordon Lennox Lamb (CRG/Maxter) does a great job of pouncing into second place behind him at the start, but a few meters later he’s already behind (at the end of the race he will have slid down to 6th). Patrik Hajek (Praga/Parilla) is the one who settles into second place by lap 2. The Czech’s ability to claim the position right away and keep behind the leader until the checkered is worth as much as a victory, or almost, considering how dull his weekend had been until then. Hats off to Praga’s number 8 driver. He is joined on the podium by his teammate Jonathan Thonon (Praga/Parilla), who gave fans the gift of several of the breathtaking passes he is known for. Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart/Vortex), one of his victims, has to make do with 4th place, a result that fits a bit too tight (considering he was starting from row 1 next to race leader and winner Ardigò). The driver of the best lap, Andreas Sebastian Hansen (Tony Kart/Vortex), is also “green", but his phenomenal time of 48.005 does not correspond to a just as great of a result: the Dane is only 7th. Considering his speed, he was expected to do a bit better than this.

Bas Lammers (Formula K/Parilla) also does less than expected and ends 6th, but things are even worse for Mirko Torsellini (Birel/TM) who has a mechanical problem and is forced to leave the track on lap 11 while running eighth. Finally, a note of mention goes to the great climb by Polish driver Bartosz Idzowski (Birel/TM), who benefits from the withdrawals of many rivals (6 total) and manages to rise from 21st to 11th.
