Albenga Go Kart & Helmet Vintage Museum

27 August 2019

The Go Kart & Helmet Vintage Museum was born from the extreme passion of a man for the racing world. It was approached in the 90s, perhaps belatedly, with the first races right on the Go Kart, a much more accessible vehicle than a racing car and therefore the object of the desires of many young people starting from the 60s and 70s. In those years the first Go Karts were born, including those produced by Birel, the same historic manufacturer that supplied the latest generation electric Go Karts that you will find on the track. In the Museum you will find a vast collection of Go Karts (perhaps the largest in the world) that traces the developments of this fantastic competition vehicle from the end of the 1950s to the present day.
Together with vintage karts, the collection of vintage helmets and replicas of official helmets worn by internationally renowned pilots, Senna, Schumacher and Valentino Rossi, as well as car parts and racing suits belonging to famous pilots, are on display. a nose of Renault driven by Sebastian Vettel and a formula one tire autographed by Michael Schumacher, the formula one suit by Nakano, Capelli, Montoja and the go-kart suit by Jarno Trulli.
