2020 is the year of the first CIK-FIA homologation for the chassis dedicated to the 60 Mini, whose approval until today, was assigned to the national Federation. The DR Racing Kart of the 5-time World Champions Danilo Rossi responds to the roll call/appeal by presenting the new Mini 20. The chassis is an evolution of the previous Mini 15, developed through several tests aimed at redefining the design of the frame’s tubes. In this sense, the distinctive characteristics of the Mini 20 is the portion of the longeron which goes from the central crossbar to the C of the stub axle making a single curve.
Amongst the new features is the seat attachment which stands out, it is designed to reduce the tension that can be created during the fastening phase, primarily maintaining the neutral structure. Brackets are fastened to the attachment to adapt the position of the seat while avoiding bending the chassis supports. This solution prevents possible breakages and offers more options for the adjustment of the driving position. In the new Mini 20, the caster and camber setups are independently adjusted with the Sniper system. The stub axles have a diameter of 25 mm instead of the standard 17 mm for mini-karts. The floor tray is new as well and follows the entire perimeter of the chassis in the front area, closing off any space or voids. At the rear, we find a new axle bearing flange support with an extra hole (now 4) for the adjustment of the chassis’ height.
