OK RADIATOR, DESIGNED FOR THE NEW SINGLE-SPEED ENGINES

With the decrease in weight required by the federation for OKJ and OK classes, an attempt was made to reduce the weight of any kart accessory. New Line has responded to these needs with the OK radiator, designed and engineered specifically for the new single-speed engines with push start

The OK model is the latest product manufactured by New Line, a leading company in the field of radiators for karts.
Its very name makes the classes it is intended for obvious: OK and OKJ.
The new product is mainly the result of weight reduction required by the Federation for these new classes: if, in fact, the imposed minimum limits (kart + driver) for KF and KFJ were, respectively, 158 and 145 kg, they have been lowered to 145 kg and 140 kg for the new OK for the OKJ classes.
A difference compensated in part by the elimination of the clutch, battery, wiring and starter motor, but which also required the streamlining of all the accessories that make up the kart.
The new OK radiator is the result of an analysis of all these issues, as well as the experience gained in continuous tests both on the track and on the test bed of the Maranello company.

The main feature of the OK radiator is its small size. This means less overall weight due to the weight of the product itself and because of the lower amount of water necessary for the cooling system (giving a reduction of about 1.5 kg).
The decrease in size of the radiating mass (height 380 mm, width 205, thickness 40) was made possible by the reduced demand for cooling of the OK engine, that, along with the elimination of several components that caused friction compared to the KF, has the advantage of keep the operating temperature lower, in addition to having fewer parts to be cooled.
Three different aluminium alloys were used to produce it, giving it a greater resistance to high temperatures.
The radiator has standard items to regulate the temperature: the supporting side panels are tapered as much as possible to make them lighter, without affecting their resistance. The ingenious radiator curtain attachment system, using a twin-screw, allows you to take it off at speed without removing the radiator from its supporting brackets. The brackets carved from a solid block are also standard.
