5 ACCESSORIES TO PROTECT YOUR KART

During track activity, debris, water and continuous and repeated stress can cause significant damage to kart chassis components. For example, in wet conditions, heavy rain and puddles on the asphalt can negatively change the response of your brake system if it is not properly protected, negatively affecting both your performance and your safety. To avoid these kinds of problems and keep your kart in its best condition at all times, there are specific accessories that can make all the difference. We have selected 5 that will allow you to enjoy top performance at all times and prevent annoying retirements.

Protection for frame tubes

Continuous rubbing against asphalt and impacts with curbs are among the major causes of deterioration and failure of chassis body tubes. In this sense, the area most susceptible to wear is the front end.
Precisely for this reason, there are types of guards available on the market, to be installed under the frame, to protect it and prevent you from unexpected breakage. The use of these devices is particularly recommended if:

the track where you are is characterized by a bumpy asphalt, which generates “bumping”;

There are different types (by shape, material and concept) of protectors: the ones we propose are produced by the Italian company NEK. These are Kevlar shells, about 16 cm long, which are applied to the frame tubes by means of double-sided adhesive strips with high adhesion. These accessories, due to their size and method of application, do not affect the torsional characteristics of the frame and are suitable for both 30 mm and 32 mm diameter tubes.
