6 ACCESSORIES FOR THE FLOAT BOWL CARBURETOR

One of the most delicate components of the kart is undoubtedly the carburetor. In fact, the performance and reliability of the engine depends on its calibration. In particular, for the Dell’Orto VHSH 30 mm bowl carburetor – used in different karting categories – there are 6 accessories which facilitate its assembly and adjustment. Here they are.

KEY TO DISASSEMBLE THE MAIN JET

Due to climatic and geographical variations it may be necessary to intervene several times with the carburetor tuning components to obtain maximum engine performance at high and low rpms. An essential accessory for changing the main jet and element that increases or decreases the amount of fuel at the upper limit opening of the guillotine of the Dell’Orto 30 mm carburetor is the key for the disassembly/assembly of the jet. The key allows the removal of the bowl cap and the replacement of the main jet with just one tool. The special threads on the body of the key itself, are seats made of up to 8 jets, a useful solution for always having them at hand during carburetion adjustments.

CARBURETOR VENT KIT

Il carburatore a vaschetta ha due sfiati, posti ai lati del corpo carburatore, da cui può uscire, soprattutto in fase di accelerazione, della benzina. Per evitare ciò, si collegano i due sfiati con un tubo, forandolo sulla parte superiore. Il tubo eviterà l’uscita della benzina dal carburatore: essendo fissato ai due sfiati, infatti, permette alla miscela fuoriuscita di rientrare nel carburatore come descritto nell’articolo “Come montare il carburatore a ghigliottina sul kart”. In alternativa possiamo acquistare il “kit sfiato carburatore” composto da un raccordo forato realizzato in alluminio e da due tubi da collegare agli sfiati. Una valida alternativa al tubo forato manualmente.
