4 USEFUL TOOLS FOR THE FLOAT BOWL/NEEDLE CARBURETOR MAINTENANCE

TKART Staff
22 March 2021
You already know the “standard” tools to perform inspections and maintenance of float bowl/needle carburetors. These are the classic screwdrivers useful for adjusting the minimum air screws or the gas valve, also essential for replacing the maximum, minimum and emulsifier float valve needles. Or some Allen keys, to open the bowl. However, there are other tools and accessories that are less known and that some of you may not know, but which can be just as useful. We at TKART have selected 4 of them. Find out which ones.

HEXAGONAL WRENCH FOR NOZZLE REPLACEMENT

The 9 hexagonal socket wrench is essential for replacing the nozzle. This is often machined or ground externally by a few mm to carry out this activity without having to remove the float reinforcement each time. In fact, if the key is not machined, it is not possible to reach the pulverizer housing. Our advice is to buy any 9 hex socket wrench that does not have rounded ends so that you have to remove less material for easier use.
