There’s nothing we can do about how tall or short we are as drivers... so when we want to shift our center of gravity to change the way our kart handles corners, we need to raise or lower the chassis height off the ground.

When driving, centrifugal force is what we feel as our body gets pushed towards the outside. This force is counteracted by an equal force generated by the friction between tires and pavement (Fa) that acts on the tires’ point of contact. If your kart doesn’t slide, it means friction is canceling out the effect of centrifugal force. Vice versa, if the kart skids, it means tire grip isn’t enough to counteract the centrifugal push.
