The event made for two very internse days, with 5 timed qualifying sessions, followed by two rounds of 5 races each. (The order of arrival of the qualifyings determined the start grid for Saturday's five races, which in turn decided the start of Sunday's races.)

Only 26 teams passed the "exam", with the top 13 set to comepet in the Premiere class and the bottom 13 in the Intermediate class. Teams Coventry A, Cardiff A, and Huddersfield A placed as the absolute top 3 and got to rise on the Qualifiers weekend podium, with gaps down to a bare minimum (351, 347 and 346 points respectively).

The championship is structured around 4 double-round weekends. The start is set for February 11 on the Buckmore Park circuit. From there the action will move to the Rye House and Llandow tracks, to then return to Whilton Mill for the grand finale in March.

Those who didn't qualify can hope in a second chance with the BUKC Rookies Championship that will run on Club100 karts following the same calendar as the official championship.
