The victory of the finals went to Albanese and Civico (KZ2), Van Langendonck and Martinese (MINI Gr.3), Girardello and Coco (60 Mini), Chatal and Apicella (X30 Junior), Villa and Elkin (X30 Senior), Grzywacz (Rok Senior), Jentile and Moretto (Rok Junior).

The hot temperatures at the International Circuit 7 Laghi Kart of Castelletto di Branduzzo challenged the protagonists of the third round of the Italian ACI Karting Championship, but the spectacle on track did not suffer for this. A lot of exciting races were run in all categories, from the smallest 60 Minikart and MINI Gr.3, to the most powerful KZ2 and the single makes Iame X30 and Rok.

The participation has been quite exceptional also in this third round of the season, after the openers in Franciacorta (record of 335 drivers on the track) and Ugento (246 drivers). In Castelletto more than 300 drivers were present, exactly 308 from 37 different countries.

The President of the Karting Commission of ACI Sport Raffaele Giammaria was present, who took the chance to have a meeting with the representatives of some teams and to discuss with them season 2023 as the Commission is working to prepare for the coming season.

KZ2 – Albanese dominates the first final, Civico race-2.
The first of the two KZ2 finals was won by Danilo Albanese (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame-MG), who claimed the pole position in qualifying practice and won both qualifying heats. He dominated the final relegating the others to a fight for the runners-up positions. Riccardo Longhi (BirelART Racing/BirelART-TM Racing), BirelART team manager official driver, honoured his presence in the Italian Championship taking P2 and leading the Spanish driver Genis Civico Espona (Modena Kart/BirelART-TM Racing). Cristian Bertuca (Bertuca/BirelART-TM Racing) lost a few places and ended fourth overall, but was the first of the Under 18s. The fifth place went to Mirko Torsellini (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), the sixth to Alessandro Buran (Renda Motorsport/BirelART-TM Racing). Alex Maragliano (Mangione/Drago Corse-TM Racing) and Leonardo Marseglia (KCS/BirelART-TM Racing) completed the top 8. The second final went to the Spanish driver Genis Civico Espona (Modena Kart/BirelART-TM Racing), who took the lead halfway through and kept it until the chequered flag. He was followed by Danilo Albanese (KR Motorsport/KR-Iame), who recovered well from P8. The third place went to Alex Maragliano (Mangione/Drago Corse-TM Racing), who secured the victory in the Under 18.

MINI Gr.3 – Sala is penalized in race-1 and hands the victory to Van Langendonck. Race-2 to Martinese.
A great fight in the first final of MINI Gr.3 saw Filippo Sala (Team Driver/KR-Iame-MG) eventually having the upper hand on the Spanish driver Christian Costoya (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing-MG) first and Iacopo Martinese (BabyRace/Parolin-Iame) then. At the flag, Sala preceded the Belgian driver Dries Van Langendonck (Parolin Motorsport/Parolin-TM Racing) and Christian Costoya. Martinese was fourth. The American Vivek Kanthan (AV Racing/Parolin-TM Racing) completed a strong recovery and claimed P5, leading the Dutch Dean Hoogendoorn (Alonso Kart by Kidix/Alonso Kart-Iame), the Czech Oliver Palocko (BabyRace Driver Academy/Parolin-Iame) and his teammate Filippo Pancotti. A 5s time penalty hit Sala at the end of the race and the victory went therefore to Dries Van Langendonck, the second place to Christian Costoya and the third to Iacopo Martinese. In race-2, Iacopo Martinese claimed the victory while Christian Costoya was second and Dries Van Langendonck third.

60 Mini – Girardello and Coco share the success.
In 60 Mini, Gioele Girardello (Girardello/IPK-TM Racing-MG) won race-1, leading the protagonist of the first part of the weekend Edoardo Mario Sulpizio (TK Driver Academy/EKS-TM), who was second overall and first of the Under 10. The third place went to Patrick Bissa (Bissa/EKS-TM Racing), the fourth to Michele Orlando (Orlando/IPK-TM Racing), who preceded Riccardo Brangero (Brangero/Parolin-TM Racing). The victory of the second final went to Domenico Coco (Modena Kart/Energy Corse-TM Racing), who also won Under 10. The second place went to Gioele Girardello at the end of a good comeback due to the grid inversion, Pietro Lilli (LGK Racing/BirelART-TM Racing) was third.

X30 Junior – Cathal srurprises everyone in race-1, Apicella wins race-2.
The Brit Clark Cathal (Victory Lane/Red Speed-Iame-Komet) claimed a surprising win in race-1 of X30 Junior. He recovered a lot of places and claimed the win. Behind Cathal, Riccardo Leone Cirelli (Autoeuropeo/Tony Kart-Iame) was second, while the French Jules Caranta (Moni/Exprit-Iame-Komet) had a great pace in the heats but had to settle for P3. The fourth place went to Giacomo Maman (TB Kart Racing Team/TB Kart-Iame), the fifth to the Portuguese Noah Monteiro (Victory Lane/Red Speed-Iame), the sixth to Antonio Apicella (Team Driver/Kosmic-Iame), who recovered 13 places. Antonio Apicella kept his momentum in the second final: he got the lead early on and kept it until the chequered flag, leading Jules Caranta and Giacomo Maman (TB Kart Racing Team/TB Kart-Iame).

X30 Senior – Villa and Elkin celebrate the wins.
Race-1 of X30 Senior was eventually won by Edoardo Ludovico Villa (TB Kart Racing Team/TB Kart-Iame), who led his teammate from Israel Ariel Elkin, who came to the fore in qualifying heats. The third place went to the classification leader Danny Carenini (Team Driver/Tony Kart-Iame). The Brit Bart Harrison (Mick Barret/Gillard-Iame) was among the quickest and claimed P4, leading Federico Albanese (Modena Kart/Tony Kart-Iame) and Giovanni Trentin (Pantano Racing Team/Pantano-Iame). The two drivers of TB Kart Racing Team swapped positions on the podium in the second race as Ariel Elkin won the sprint to the line from Edoardo Ludovico Villa. Bart Harrison was third.

Rok Senior and Junior – Grzywacz takes two wins in Senior, Jentile and Moretto one in Junior.
Rok Senior and Rok Junior competed in the same race. Race-1 of Rok Senior was dominated by the Pole Bartosz Grzywacz (KGT Motorsport/Tony Kart-Vortex), who led Davide Larini (Zanchi Motorsport/Tony Kart-Vortex), Edoardo Leo (MAD Racing/Tony Kart-Vortex) and his teammate Luca Liberati. The victory of Rok Junior went to Mattia Jentile (Zanchi Motorsport/Tony Kart-Vortex), who led his teammate Ethan Lennon. The third place in Junior went to Gabriel Moretto (Moretto/Tony Kart-Vortex). Bartosz Grzywacz secured another win in race-2, leading the two MAD Racing’s drivers Edoardo Leo and Luca Liberati, both on Tony Kart-Vortex. Rok Junior was won by Gabriel Moretto, from Ethan Lennon and Mattia Jentile.
